From “Never” to Now: How I Accidentally Started A Small Business

Light blue quilted shoulder or crossbody tote bag with diamond stitching, filled with a book and tablet, resting on a soft white fabric background.

If you had told me a few years ago that I’d be running a small business, I probably would’ve laughed and said “Oh no, I could never“. I didn’t want the pressure or responsibility. I didn’t want to be the boss. I definitely didn’t want to think about taxes.

But here we are.

Somewhere along the way, what started as a quiet little hobby turned into something I couldn’t stop thinking about. The joy of making something with my hands, the satisfaction of watching an idea become a real, tangible object, it brought me immense satisfaction. And slowly, the “never” softened into “maybe,” and eventually became a very wholehearted yes.

But this whole thing? It’s never really been about running a business in the traditional way. My real goal is to build a cozy little corner of the internet for people who are drawn to slowing down. Folks who are rethinking how they consume, how they live, how they take care of themselves and each other. Whether you’re years into your low & slow journey or just starting to question the fast-paced norm, you’re always welcome here.

The fact that I get to sit at my sewing machine, stitch by stitch, and create something that might one day live in your hands or your home? That still blows my mind. I don’t take it for granted for a second. I’m so grateful that I get to do this. I’m grateful for every person who’s cheered me on, shared a post, bought a bag, or simply supported me.

So here’s to slow starts, soft landings, and doing things we once swore we never would. I’m so happy you’re here.

This is so sweet 🥹 I’ve been looking for a slow community – I’ve always felt like people rush life and it’s going so fast! You don’t need to accomplish a million things, but you need to be present with the ten things you do accomplish. Love this.
